My work often reflects the innocence of childhood and the overactive imagination as well as fears and nightmares that are closely associated with the innocent imagination. This is one of many location concept illustrations which depict landscapes and structures that, while rooted in reality, are deformed and distorted. The anomolous structure of the stone castle evokes dreamlike surrealism as the twisted forms rise from the islands and awkwardly reach skyward.
