This project is based around redesigning the experience of waiting for the bus while using the public transit system. Though one part of the transit system, waiting for the bus is nonetheless a major part of the experience and perhaps an undesirable part a user goes through when using the system. I will look at the different aspects that make up waiting for the bus, such as materials, human behaviour, space, environment and weather and design language. I want to improve upon how the users feel about the current solution and what can be done to create a desirable experience. I also want to look at what possibilities there are to redeveloping the idea of waiting that may change the experience by incorporating ideas such as education, information, culture, art, and expression.
