Sandra completed her degree in the ID program at ECI in 2007. Her travels have taken her through every inch of Australia, some of the USA, a taste of Mexico and a great deal of Europe with her most recent trip finding her in Sweden where she attended the Carl Malmsten Center for wood technology and design as an international student to specialize in wood furniture design for half a year. Her endeavors in Sweden gained her press in Form, Sweden’s largest furniture design magazine, and initiated an exchange program between these two schools, paving the way for more opportunities for future students. Her last year at ECI was spent focusing on further development of her own design process and explorations of this type of thinking as a means to an eventual end. Having a degree that can embody many avenues, Sandra felt it important to focus on the “design mind thinking” that her studies have offered her as opposed to obsessing over the “perfect” end result.
