This series of work explores displaced essences of cultures brought to a foreign location distorted from its original place of intent. It has become a cultural code for people of this generation who do not confine themselves to a specific place and ideology to take up any of those of others out of liberated interest, while not equipped with the knowledge of the history of that non-authentic position they have taken. This series presents how this process is romanticized, reduced to a blunt context and reconfigured in new locations, as well as a document of the survival of placement of culture intersecting where it finds a place.
Objects compiled in the photographs comment on how increasing trade of goods allows merchandise to take on miraculous journeys of their own. In this era, the borders for objects to transport became easier; yet the borders for people to travel became tougher, hence there are no subjects in the series.
