Magnitude is an online day planner for university students with Autism. It is one of the only resources created specifically for these students. University can be extremely overwhelming for autistic students. Magnitude helps with the day-to-day challenges of having autism and strives to make university a possibility for high-functioning autistic students. The program responds to the specific needs of someone with autism, such as relying on a rigid routine, by helping them visualize time and plan routines. Magnitude provides motivation through the visual representation of accomplishments. Maps and photos correspond with each class and assist with face and place recognition. This software uses a drag and drop system wherever possible as these students may struggle with typing. Magnitude keeps track of school as well as everyday chores such as laundry, paying bills and grocery shopping. Magnitude is a school and life organizer that helps schedule daily activities as well as plan for the future. It is directed specifically at this group of students with unique needs.
