The Christmas Bird Count is conducted in over 1800 localities across Canada, the United States and Latin America. This poster is designed to raise awareness and generate increased interest in the event. The poster features my own watercolour illustrations, inspired by Robert Bateman. These images speak to the birder tradition while educating prospective birders. The poster is also accompanied by a brochure booklet, in the form of a life-size Quail illustration, which provides specific information for potential Bird Watch participants. The booklet also includes a sketchpad for the event.

This work is an example of what I enjoy most in design—creating an experience for the viewer that is distinct in its visual imagery, grace of the illustrative component, and clear and concise in its delivery.
