Maps exist as a means for direction and orientation; by mapping the tangible and intangible elements in our world we gain a sense of place. This mapping project was in pursuit of holistic models of government to provide shared orientation and shared reference points. For something like government structure, which is only accessed in isolated instances, seeing the relationships within the whole is a rare vantage point.
